BSc (Hons) MBAcC

Your Local Natural Health Clinic

I studied at the Northern College of Acupuncture for three years and graduated with a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2024. Before this, I had a career in massage therapy treating many conditions and backgrounds, including sports professionals.

I discovered acupuncture when conventional medicine was not effective for my own health. I was amazed by the results and how Chinese Medicine treats the whole person rather than isolated symptoms. I believe Eastern and Western medicine can complement each other well, and this inspired me to study acupuncture.

Now, I’m delighted to bring all of this together to serve the Argyll community at my clinic in Lochgilphead.

About West Coast Acupuncture

My Journey

into Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture

I have always been interested in natural health, and with a Scandinavian background I spent my childhood foraging the forests and swimming in the fjords. I was taught about nature’s healing properties and to respect the eco-balance between everything in the forest and sea.

Growing up with the Nordic philosophies of life, prioritising balance and contentment has carried through to adulthood. I love a sauna and getting cosy by the fire with a thick pair of socks on!

I believe that all aspects of health are an ongoing maintenance, and a drop of prevention is better than a bucket load of cure.

I have a deep connection to Chinese Medicine and respect for the natural balance between the mind, body and spirit. I firmly believe in treating the root cause of health issues rather than only addressing symptoms.

When I’m not in my clinic, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dogs. Nature gifts us with many health benefits, and I enjoy making my own health tonics such as elderberry syrup or pine needle tea.

Serving the Community of Mid Argyll with Local and Personalised Care

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), a Professional Standards Authority regulatory body for those trained to the highest professional standard in the acupuncture field. This ensure patients receive the highest standard of care with strict codes of conduct and confidentiality. I have also completed postgraduate-level training in specialised subjects, including gynaecology and fertility.
